One of the best decisions we made during the summer before senior year was to send our twin daughters to the College Coaches' Essay and Common App class. Our girls completed the Common App in a matter of hours. They thanked us each night for allowing them to take the essay class because they were done with their essay before the school year started. As a result, they started senior year feeling less stressed and confident in their ability to submit strong applications.

Even my jaded teenager enjoyed the essay-writing process! Kathleen and her team know how to get the best out of these kids and turn it into a compelling essay.

Great responsiveness and tips, but I felt like I did a lot of the work on my own anyways. The College Coaches give a great head-start for those who haven’t yet found their footing, like myself. With the ever-evolving landscape of the college search and application process, it was helpful to have such a strong resource to back us up.Our coach, Caroline, was able to get to know my son and his goals. She tailored their meetings to his needs and gave sound advice throughout - for both my son and myself. They set a reasonable schedule with small goals so that he was never overwhelmed. From creating a list of potential schools, advising us on how to get the most out of our school visits, assistance in writing the essays and supplements, creating a resume, and all of the other little things that each school now requires beyond the common app, Caroline made sure that he had all his i's dotted and t's crossed. We were ready and confident when it was time to submit the applications. College coaches gave us peace of mind and less stress though the whole process. We will be working with Caroline again when our daughter begins her college search next spring.

I applied to universities in the United States (as a Questbridge scholarship recipient), England, the Netherlands, and South Korea for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Caroline Byers was immensely helpful during my application process, especially as a first-generation college student. I'm very grateful for her seamless communication between me and the schools I applied to, both in the US and internationally.I am now attending Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and studying Cultural Anthropology and Developmental Sociology. The 2022-2023 application year was competitive and fierce due to students finishing COVID gap years and many schools going test-optional, but Mrs. Byers and The College Coaches team were present every step of the way.

The College Coaches heavily influenced my college process in the most positive way. As the oldest sibling in my family, I was the first one to apply to college, so we didn’t know a lot about the college process and it seemed very overwhelming. Mrs. Byers and Ms. Glynn Sparrow worked tirelessly with me to lay out a manageable timeline to complete the application process, and always made themselves available to answer any questions or talk through any concerns I had along the way. In addition, Mr. Schneider was amazing as I wrote my college essays, giving specific and crucial feedback both asynchronously and when we would meet live. It was so great to have someone giving feedback on my writing who not only supported me directionally and helped me pick topics to write about that would aid my application the most, but also who is so detail-oriented and could assist with grammar and word choice. I can happily say that this Fall I will be attending the perfect school for me, and I don’t think I would be here without the three of them!
