College Essay and Common Application Classes for Summer 2025

The following classes are offered in-person in Charleston, SC.  For online coaching, check out our Game Winning Essay service. Seniors Soar: Summer 2025  5 day workshop to complete the Common Application and the Essay.  We will provide final edits to the essay within 2 weeks after the class. The essay will be 100% completed, provided that the student has actively participated in the workshop and completed their homework assignments. Much of the time in each workshop is spent working individually or meeting with a Coach 1:1.  There will be one Coach for every 5-6 students.  Total class time is 12.5 hours over 5 days.   Day 1: The Essay

• Learn the purpose of the essay, prompts, and topics to avoid
• Complete the brainstorming sheet for the essay 
• “Test-drive” topics to see which one has “wheels” with 1:1 Coach support

  Day 2: The Essay

• 1:1 review of topic choices (15-20 minutes per student meeting with Coach)
• Begin drafting

  Day 3: The Essay

• 1:1 review of initial drafts (Meeting for 15-20 minutes with Coach)
• Continue writing

  Day 4: Finish Essay 

• 1:1 review of final drafts (Meeting for 15-20 minutes with Coach)
• Goal is to have completed essay ready for final edits by Coach (returned via email within 2 weeks)

  Day 4 (Cont): Start Common Application 

• Provide step-by-step instructions
• Complete each section of the application with strategic guidance
• Create a Google Doc for the Activities Section

  Day 5:  Finish Common Application

• Review Activities Section 1:1 with Coaches, and ensure activities are arranged strategically and use active verbs
• Proofread entire application
